The staff were friendly and accommodating. The airport transfer was arranged. Breakfast was delicious. Clean and comfortable rooms. Convenient location for transit.

A bit out of the way for strangers to JHBurg

Marnie and her family made us feel right at home and saw to our every need. What a wonderful way to get to know Johannesburg.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was exceptional, the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The hotel facilities were good, the breakfast was delicious and served at the time of our choice. Additionally, the hotel's quiet residential neighborhood was perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Located in a quiet residential area near the airport, this hotel offers a convenient stay close to the Kempton Park area. the rooms are practical, comfortable, and clean and the bathroom is fully-equipped. the hosts are very welcoming and accommodating, with a shared kitchen available for cooking and a good breakfast buffet. Nice touches include rusks and port, good quality linens, and even a good travel cot for those with young ones.

The noise of aircraft during takeoff and landing at the nearby airport may disturb light sleepers.

Excellent service - picked up and dropped off at the airport for a nominal fee. The room was beautifully decorated with a lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The location was great, close to the airport and with easy access to supermarkets and restaurants. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from.

We found a mosquito in the room and the insect spray was not readily available. We only found it the next morning. Additionally, the shower pressure was a bit low, which made it difficult to rinse properly.

What a lovely place this is. We didn't arrive until after midnight but they arranged an airport transfer for us and were waiting for us to arrive. Before going to bed we were told that breakfast is when we want it in the morning and don't worry about the time. We emerged for breakfast at 1030 am and we still got a fully cooked breakfast. The accomodation was of a very high standard, the cleanliness exceptional and the staff are so friendly they good be your family!!!. We would recommend the Woodpecker's Inn to everyone.

The hotel staff were friendly, very helpful & did their best to make my son's & my stay comfortable & a pleasure.

The room had a balcony with a pleasant view. the breakfast was really good compared to similar hotels in the area. it was close to the airport and a mall, which was really convenient.

Our Easter stay was ruined by the noisy construction work going on in the building early in the morning. the room was smaller than expected, and the air conditioning was not working properly.
